Pictures-Machu Picchu

Here are the pictures.....

First up are the pictures from the valley we traveled through by
train...

Here is one of my favorites...the ice caps we saw in the valley from the train

When we got into Aguas Calientes, they were celebrating for the first time Machu Picchu´s acceptance into the new 7 wonders of the world.

Next up are just shots of Machu Picchu that I took at random.

The big mountain that juts up is called Waynu Picchu. We wanted to climb it, but it closed before we could get there. Next time...

My favorited Machu Picchu shot

At the entrance

Here are some cool Incan huts that seem to mimic the mountain peaks in the background

Here is some proof that I was there!

Here are the gents as we made our way to the Incan Draw Bridge

Here we are at the draw bridge

I tripped behind that rock...thats why everyone is looking over there

A good one of the crew

Rob and Chris

The Incan condor (behind me the condor´s wings were made out of countless stones....you can´t really make it out-we heard about it from one of the guides.

A Incan garden reconstruction

A nice flower

Here are some nice shots of the path leading up to Machu Picchu

Here is an unidentified animal! They came out in droves as the late afternoon set in. All the masses of people had left by that time and the entire park was quite and peaceful.

Here is a moth above an interesting picture at the bar we chilled at that night in Aguas Calientes

LLAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On our way back we took the Vistadome train...here are a couple of shot from that trip.

Here is a picture I took in Urubamba on the walk back from the bus station

Here are a couple of shots of some mountains in Nick´s backyard that were looking espcially nice!
